Report From Napa Valley: What a Difference a Year Makes

Napa is getting back in the groove...and fast.
People are out and about, gathering with friends on perfect 80º afternoons, sipping wine in gorgeous settings.

It’s a time ripe for reflection on our post-Covid world as we marked the 45th Anniversary of Judgment of Paris on May 24, 2021. On that massively significant day that changed the international world of wine forever, little did anyone realize the future that awaited Napa Valley.

Cultured Vine Knows Best

Thankful for so much that makes Napa into the Napa we love today, it’s our privilege to share this special destination with you, the esteemed guests of Cultured Vine.

Part of that service, of course, is to unveil private experiences and little-known gems that only a very few will enjoy. “From tastings in a wine owner’s living room to private tours and dinners with top chefs at boutique, invitation-only wineries, we will make it happen,” said Angela Duerr, founder and proprietor of Cultured Vine.

It’s also our job to share timely news and updates about the very latest opportunities that have caught our eye.

We're Saving Room For You

“But, first of all, a heads up: This place is hopping,” Angela observes. “We’ve all heard about pent-up travel demand and the popularity of domestic tourism. Napa Valley is feeling it, for sure. Wineries are open, masks are off, glasses are full—both literally and figuratively.” Her thoughts are echoed by Linsey Gallagher, President & CEO of Visit Napa Valley, who said, “We are optimistic that 2021 will show significant improvement for the Napa Valley wine tourism industry.”

A Few Tasty Insider Tips:

The George is open. The 1891 historic home in Old Town has been meticulously renovated—right down to the rafters—presenting beautifully as a nine-room guesthouse which may be booked in its entirety,
including the house chef.

Tamber Bey, the private label Calistoga horse ranch and winery in one, has completed a thoughtful, artistically-inspired renovation of former stables into an exclusive Ambassadors Dining Room.
