As a tribute to the 1976 Judgment of Paris and to the individuals who conceived the event that changed the world of wine forever... The 2021 Judgment of Napa is supporting a new art installation in their honor, bestowing Downtown Napa with a permanent enhancement to its cityscape. Inspired by the enormous impact that California wines initially made 45 years ago — and throughout the following decades — local artist extraordinaire, Richard Von Saal, is interpreting this appreciation as an artistic expression. Your donation, big or small, will ensure this vision comes to life. Let's usher in tomorrow while making history. On the eve of America's Bicentennial, this "dream team" put California wine in the global spotlight on May 24, 1976, and opened the doors for new world wines from other countries.

We're proud to be building a tribute to the entrepreneurial prowess of Steven Spurrier, the real-time reporting of author George Taber and to an idea set in motion by Patricia Gastaud-Gallagher.
